I finished the Dean Koontz. It is going into the "to be disposed of" box as entry no. 1. I've read worse (I'm looking at you, Wilbur Smith) and I've read much, much better. Last night I finished "Footsteps in the Dark" by Georgette Heyer. It is one of her detective novels, competent, somewaht convoluted, and not quite up there with Sayers, Allingham and Marsh,. But hey, it's Georgette Heyer. It is stylish, and it isn't at all bad.
Today's post is titled Lazy Sunday. That is exactly what i've had, and its been lovely. The dog and I slept until we woke, about 10am. I spent the afternoon reading, checking blogs, pottering about with my forthcoming web page. Then I decided to edit one of my books for Smashwords. I learnt so much about how to use Word. It was fantastic. Now I need to proof read, so I have printed off two copies. I only meant to do one. Oh, well.
Does anyone know a talented graphic artist who can realise my ideas for covers?
I read a Robin Cook the other week that made me want to cry, it was so bad. ...although it wasn't as bad as the Wilbur Smith I waded through in Mexico, admittedly. XD
ReplyDeleteI really need to give Heyer a try. I bought some of her books for my wife last year for Christmas and she enjoyed them and I suspect I would as well.
ReplyDeleteAs for graphic artists, I would suggest perusing the art over at this site:

There is a wide range of quality but you'll find some pretty amazing artists over there and I would assume that there are folks who would love to have an opportunity and would work very reasonably.
